I didn't wake up today until almost 11am! ELEVEN! It has been quite a while since I've done that - and, boy did it feel good. If you remember, I didn't sleep Saturday night, and, of course, on Sunday, I watched football. I tried to nap - honest Injun, I did - but it just didn't happen. I did turn the game off early last night. It was a foregone conclusion who was going to win, so I didn't need to watch the entire fourth quarter. Thus, to bed 'early' on a Sunday night. I didn't even read. I took my pharmacy-full of pills, turned of the light, snuggled right in and - ZOOM - that was all she wrote.
Unfortunately, not long after I got up, I realized that I - for some reason - I had woken up with one hellacious headache. Now, because of blessed medicines, my headaches have been under very good control for a long time. For this to be bad enough to be noticed so soon is kinda disturbing. Number-wise, it is a 7 or 8. Luckily, it is not a stabby-type headache, just a dull throbbing aching one.
I started in on the job I had pegged for this morning - getting my inside Christmas stuff hung up! I went through my popcorn tins, got everything out, and got to work. I hung it all except the things I couldn't reach and couldn't climb to do - Ron will do it when he gets home, because he doesn't want me to hurt myself - and then (surprise), I took pictures of it all to share with my friends.
Then I worked on our Christmas cards some more. I'm pretty proud of myself. I'm about 3/4 of the way done now, and will finish up tomorrow morning. Ron has a doctor appointment, and we'll be able to go to the post office in town and get them mailed when we go out. Yay!
I stopped for lunch at 1:30 (chicken salad and walnuts) and got on the pute, got my games all caught up and piddled around for a bit.
After a while, my head was still hurting, so I got off the pute, threw a load of towels into the washer, and did the weekend dishes. There's nothing like playing Happy Homemaker on a Monday morning (afternoon, now), which is what I normally do.
I put in a Christmas cartoon (Miser Brothers' Christmas) and got on the damn exercise bike. I thought I could just pedal away the whole cartoon, but I just couldn't. Couldn't. I did ride for eleven minutes and a mile and a half, and I guess that's better than no exercise. I definitely have to get back into the swing of that. Boy, did my legs hurt! Here's hoping I do better tomorrow.
As I was sitting in my recliner watching the end of the cartoon, Ron walked in! I couldn't believe it! It was very early! Not even 4:30. That certainly doesn't happen often, most especially on a Monday. Mondays are his worst days. This week may be in trouble....yipes.
I got him to hang the Christmas things that he needed to hang, and he did, with no questions. I think I'll keep this feller! My house looks very Christmas-y inside and out now!
We heated up what was left of the venison stew for supper tonight. We did just have bread and butter - I learned that lesson!
When I put all my food into MFP, I was over 700 short for the day. Yes, it hollered at me. No, I don't care. My head hurts too bad. I really didn't even feel like eating supper, but didn't know how to explain that to Ron, so I did eat. He already knew something was up, and had asked me about five times, "What's wrong?" I did tell him just a headache, but still.
Today is gonna get five stars for both food and exercise! Yay! I got off my fat ass and did something!
