I forgot to tell you all some news yesterday - I do apologize for that, and let me fix that.
My sister has landed that job!  She will start Monday!  All of the work we have put into the last couple of weeks has been worth it, praise be!  I am so happy for her!  She will still have to buy herself a pair of steel-toed shoes, and get to and from work until her first paycheck, but there is definitely light at the end of the tunnel for her now.

Today, I woke up around 10.  I finished the book I've been reading, then got up.  I played around, paying bills and fun stuff like that - my checkbook won't balance, it's off by $2.00 and was driving me crazy and I finally made myself just G.I.V.E. I.T. U.P.  Do you know how hard that is for me??  Ugh!  $2.00!!  It's GOT to be right!  It's got to!!  I had to go down to Walgreen's to pick up prescriptions, and stop at WalMart for a few items - and hit the after-Christmas sales - so off I went, $2.00 be damned!
I was smart enough to go to Bob Evans to get some lunch before hitting WalMart.  This time, I truly did get lunch.  I got the half-sandwich and soup combo, choosing the turkey and bacon sandwich, and the potato soup.  That should give me the energy to get through WalMart!  I am certainly hoping to head off having a sugar low in the afternoon, too.  No more Sunshine Skillet for this chickie!

Before I got my little bit of shopping done - I was in the checkout line - Josh texted me that they are leaving their house to bring Corgan up to us for the weekend.  I let them know that I am not home, and to wait until I get there, because I have stuff for them.  You don't think I only buy stuff for me and Ron, do you?  C'mon!  I actually beat them here by about 3 minutes - how funny is that?  They drop Corgan off, gather what I am giving them, show off the videos (on their new machines) of Corgan playing in the park with his remote control helicopter - you know, the one I got him for Christmas - and then go ahead and leave again.  So, it's me and Corgan.  He is thrilled, don't you know.  Yeah.  I get on the pute.  He plays his DS.  We are bonding quite well, thanks.  Luckily, Ron gets home from work in about half an hour.

Ron and I weigh ourselves this evening - first time since Christmas! - he gained a little over 2 pounds, and I gained five and a half!  I usually weigh myself first thing in the morning, so I am hoping some of that is because it is so late in the afternoon, and I guess I will find out in the morning when I do my "official" weigh-in for the week.  Ouch!
We just spend the evening hanging out, they go outside for a bit but it gets cold pretty quickly so they come back in, and they play on the Wii.  I even played a game of 100-pin bowling with them once.  Then, finally, it was just TV time, and Ron was soon watching through his eyelids, as usual, on a Friday night.  I made Ron some of those cabbage steaks he likes to go with one of his frozen Chinese things for his supper.  I had an egg sandwich.  Corgan had a bowl/can of soup, then a yogurt, then this, then that.....boys!

When I put my food into MFP, I was over 400 calories short for the day, but I had also munched on Christmas candy and had NOT put that into MFP (how can you put that in piece-by-piece?  nuh-uh, ain't happening...), so I figured I am either just at the breaking point, or have broken it!  Definitely have to slow down on the candy now...

Five stars for everything today!  Food was good - even calorie-wise - and exercise was okay.  I got in a WalMart walk, even though I didn't get back on the damn exercise bike.

Looking so forward to the wedding tomorrow night...it's gonna be beautiful!
