A quiet New Year's day

Wednesday, January 1, 2014

Today was a very quiet day for me and Ron.  We got up this morning, went to church, went up to Georgetown for breakfast/lunch - he got the fried chicken he likes so much, I got the big breakfast - and then we came back home.
Ron watched more of his Red Skelton DVDs.  I was on the pute for a while, but then just plain ol' got bored, and went and took a nap.  I don't do that very often, but - hey, why not?
After I got up, Ron watched one of his new Arnie movies, then we watched dead guys on TV until 9, then I watched Criminal Minds and CSI: (more dead guys...).  Around 7, I made pork chops, and boiled potatoes for supper.  I steamed some frozen veggies for Ron, and I had reheated sweet potatoes pulled from the fridge.

So...that's it for today.
Like I said, a very quiet day for us.
I hope yours was, also.
Back to 'normal' tomorrow.  A terrible one-year anniversary for me tomorrow - it's been one year since I lost my job.  Trying not to think about it, but it's starting to grow in my mind.  I think I'll spend a lot of time tomorrow putting in applications.  Maybe.  Maybe I'll just stay in bed.

Needless to say, when I put my food into MFP today, I was WAY over on my calories, but, you know what?  I don't care!  If I can't indulge a little on NYD, when can I indulge?  Of course, I did indulge on other holidays, and didn't even put those meals into MFP...

Today isn't getting any stars.  I'm tired of stars.

Wishing you all your dreams coming true in 2014...
